Making Web Design Affordable
(All currency quoted on these pages are in US Dollars.)

Most people are under the impression that the cost of web design is very high. This is especially so in the United States where individuals charge an average of $60 per page for their services. While I do not profess to be an expert at webdesign, I would still like to offer you an affordable alternative for your consideration. You'll notice that I've also made an effort to structure the costs and payment to be as easy as possible on the individual.


BASIC CHARGES :
  • First page - $30
  • Second page - $15
  • Next 5 pages - $10 each
  • All subsequent pages - $5 each

Includes uploading to a free site and a one-time posting with search engines; OR uploading to client's personal site and a one-time posting with search engines.

N.B. : In addition, client must also opt for the Maintenance Plan or No Maintenance Plan upon completion of the initial project.

MAINTENANCE PLAN :

  • $20 monthly (for uploading MINOR changes and
    reposting with search engines once a month)
  • New pages = $5 each
  • MINOR Revisons = $5 for every 2 pages

NO MAINTENANCE PLAN :

  • $25 release & severance fee (one time only)
  • New pages = $10 each
  • MINOR Revisions = $10 for every 3 pages

PAYMENT SCHEDULE :

  • 50% of the cost of each page, upfront to start each page.
  • Remaining 50% of cost of page on completion & uploading of page.
If payment is not received within 7 days of uploading of a completed page, the page will be deleted from the site.

REQUIREMENTS/RESTRICTIONS :

  • There are no restrictions to the number of pages a person may buy.
  • ALL text and photos (in jpg or gif format) must be supplied.

CONDITIONS :
  1. I expect my clients to work VERY closely with me in the development of their sites so that I can give them a site that is built around THEM and their needs;
  2. I expect my clients to NOT rush me where a job is concerned (although I will work as fast as I can) because a rushed job is always a shoddy job, and I have NO wish to be associated with shoddy jobs;
  3. Clients must allow me to put in a little ad on all their pages in the form of either a small logo and/or a text line link; and
  4. Clients must also allow me to link their websites to mine as an example of my work.





CONSULTANCY SERVICES :

$30 per visit/report with suggestions/critique on a website. (Strictly NO design or maintenance work.)

HIGH QUALITY SCANNING/ENHANCING/RETOUCHING :

$2 for scanning per photo or illustration. All materials must be properly packed and couriered or mailed by Express Mail to me (allow 2 - 3 weeks for delivery). All materials are NON-returnable. If clients wish to have their materials returned (only via courier or Express Mail), clients must bear all courier or mailing charges which are payable in accordance with the payment method as described under Design Fees & Plans. Prices for return of materials will be quoted only upon receipt of the materials. Enhancing or retouching of materials will also be quoted upon receipt of materials.

COPYWRITING :

I have over 12 years' experience as a professional writer. However, I am NOT keen to write copy for webpages, and would rather avoid it. If such services are required, however, I will charge from $30 to $100 per page, depending on the length, complexity, amount of information supplied and research (if any).





ALL payment MUST be made according to the payment method as described under Design Fees & Plans, i.e. 50% upfront and the remaining 50% upon delivery. If payment is not received within 7 days of contracting the work or service; OR upon delivery of such work or service, then such work or service will be withdrawn or cancelled, and any payment received will be forfeited. For the time being, payment must be made by crossed check, money order or postal order.

Examples of my web design work :




I am an Asian, living in South East Asia. I have never been to America before, but I am desperately trying to earn my way there and/or will be grateful if I can secure a job there.

This is because I met my wife, who is a US citizen; over the Internet. We have never met in person before and would like to do so as soon as possible because my wife is terminally ill. In addition, we are both not well off; and it doesn't help when the current US laws make it very difficult for an outsider to get in even on a tourist visa.

My wife and I will be grateful for any financial assistance that you can offer to help us meet up with each other. Therefore, any 'tips' for a job well done, or any assistance in helping me to find a job in the US, will be much appreciated.
